The company PanPán was born in 2020 from the complicity between Marta Pajuelo and Pablo Canela, performers with extensive training and theatrical experience. Among their objectives, two stand out: on the one hand, to investigate different stage languages to find their own voice in the theatre scene, and, on the other, to explore the cracks in the human soul and its social conditioning factors, with a vocation for universality. In their search, they have delved into the possibilities of expressive masks, puppets and shadow theatre, unique means to move and create worlds that captivate the audience.
In its years of experience, the company has positioned itself strongly in the national and international theatre scene. El Amo, the first of its productions, has been a candidate for Best New Show at the Max Awards for the Performing Arts in 2022, as well as having had the opportunity to participate in the XXXVIII Feria de Teatro del Sur de Palma del Río, in the XIX Festival Internacional de Teatro de La Habana, Cuba, in the Programa Litoral Emcena and the III Feria Ibérica de Teatro Fundão, Portugal, or in the III Festival Anfitrión de Artes Escénicas de Andalucía. It has also been selected at festivals such as the High Fest of Yerevan (Armenia), the Nepal International Theatre Festival (NITFEST), and the Festival Internacional de Mimo y Teatro Gestual (Ecuador).
The company is currently made up of Pablo Canela, Álvaro Copado and Marta Pajuelo. And for its different projects it has the collaboration of professionals with extensive experience.
