Havana Theatre Festival

From among 174 applicants, El Amo has been one of the shows selected to participate in the most important event of the performing arts in Cuba.

The festival will take place from 23 to 31 October 2021 and is dedicated, in this edition, to the 90th anniversary of the birth of stage director Berta Martínez.

Because of the pandemic, it will be developed on digital platforms and will reach every corner of Cuba on six national television channels, accumulating a total of 25 hours of Cuban and foreign theatre. The broadcasting of El Amo will take place on 25 October on the Educational Channel, and on 30 October on the channel dedicated to the 19th Havana Theatre Festival.

There will also be virtual and on-site exhibitions, presentations of publications, documentaries, a theatre cycle in the cinema and theoretical events.
