The commitment of the 37th edition of Palma Feria de Artes Escénicas de Andalucía to emerging companies takes shape today with the reception for the first time of PanPán.

His debut at the Feria de Palma will be with El Amo

Because of the pandemic, the play had to postpone its premiere from March to October of this year. However, they hope that this will change after the presentation at the Palma Feria, which they hope will be a springboard to enter circuits and programmes, and even to go outside Spain. “It was a surprise to be selected,” says Pablo Canela. Presenting our work at this fair was a goal we dreamed of, but we did not expect to achieve it so soon. We consider ourselves very fortunate and we know that just the fact of being here gives us a visibility that we would hardly have achieved otherwise. That alone is already a lot for us.”.

And although they recognise that the panorama of the performing arts right now is “bleak”, they see the future as “hopeful”. “We are privileged to have been able to premiere and to be programmed in this Fair, but even so, the economic viability of the project is complicated. The challenge for companies, whether small like ours or larger ones, is now titanic. Always, but even more so now, the support of the administrations is necessary to promote the creation of a stable cultural fabric and to be able to get out of the precariousness in which we have been living for so long”, claims this creator.
